Summer Solstice Cleanse – Day 3: Bring on the Fibre!

Yesterday was my best day yet of #summersolsticecleanse2015 yet – I woke up bright and early, and felt full of energy! My skin is feeling softer, and I’m generally feeling lighter and “cleaner!” Here’s what my day looked like yesterday:


After my morning cup of warm lemon water, I did an hour of gentle yoga, then my first juice of the day was Morning Sunshine. Primarily fruit and delicious! Set me up with a tonne of energy, and just looking at it made me happy!


Colour is SUCH a big deal to me, and I loved this one. 🙂

A bit later on I greened it up:


  • 1 bulb fennel
  • 1 cucumber
  • 5 stalks celery
  • 3 stalks kale
  • 2 apples
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1 lime

This juice was delicious! I loved the addition of fennel…


In the afternoon I decided to starting bringing back a little fiber…I had a smoothie with kale, blueberries, a frozen banana, coconut water and a couple of dates. Yum! I was amazed at how full I felt after drinking up that fibre. I let it settle for a couple of hours and then went for a great 1/2 hour run. Full of energy!!


For dinner it was a huge green salad from the Summer Solstice Cleanse book – avocado, sprouts, mixed greens, celery, an orange and some black pepper with an apple cider vinegar-flax oil dressing. I thought I would be just chomping at the bit to eat this, but found (happily) that I ate about 1/2 and saved the rest, feeling pleasantly full. I’m loving this experience!
