Last night I was craving something sweet, and I decided to try a new recipe idea out – it’s kind of a mix between plain frozen banana ice cream and a healthy chocolate shake I made up last year. It took about 5 minutes to make and was DELICIOUS. And you don’t even need an ice-cream maker! No added sugar, no chemicals – this ice cream is ACTUALLY really healthy. I love it when recipe ideas turn into realities like this one! And so, I wanted to share 🙂
In your food processor combine:
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 tbsp. cocoa/raw cacao
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 dates, pitted
- cacao nibs/chocolate chips
Whip it, whip it, whip it til all the banana chunks are gone and it gets soft and creamy like ice cream (but watch it because if you let it go too long it will get too soft), top with nibs/chips – EAT! Easy! Fast! And I don’t think ice cream has ever been healthier. YUM!
